Hello all

Further to the numerous postings I just wanted to share my experience regarding the damp mattress issue. In September 2012 we purchased a brand new Baily Unicorn. Being excited and eager to use the van before the end of the season we laod up the van adn unwrapped the mattress one wek prior to havin booked a weekend away. To our dismay within one week of taking off the plastic cover of the mattress we found the mattress 'wet through' and not fit for purpose. As a result we had to cancell our weekend away. We further contacted our dealers who repoted never having heard anything like it before. They in turn contacted Bailey adn Bellfield who requested the return of the mattress and a replacement would be sent. We waited 4 weeks for the return of a replacement mattress. Once again, upon receipt of the second replacement mattress we unwrapped it and low and behold within a space of 4 days it was 'wet through.' Once again we contacted the dealer and returned the second replacement in late January 2013. We are currently awaiting the third replacement mattress of which we have been informed will take approximately 3 weeks. With regards to all the replacement mattress' we have been required to return and collect such items from the dealer of which has involved us hiring a van big enough to accommodate a double mattress and incurr diesel cost. I have on a couple of occasions e mailed both Bailey and Bellfield and not once have they apologised for any inconvenience incurred. It is hoped that on receipt of the 4th mattress that we will be able to enjoy our van and not have to cancell any further holidays.
