New Year near Hastings

Three years ago we spent the New Year with friends at the Fairlight Wood CC site nr Hastings. We had a good time walking the dogs through the adjoining woods, strolling to the nearby pub and looking at places on the East Sussex coast. On New Years Eve we visited the Battle of Hastings site, it was very atmospheric, no one else was there and we walked the battlefield in the misty late afternoon. This is a photo of our walk with Battle Abbey in the distance.

    A nice short story with an evocative photo. You must have more memories to post on here.

    Thanks! I've finally learnt how to re-size the photos which I didn't need to do on earlier stories. But I promise not to bombard CT with lots of holiday snaps.....hope you're enjoying your travels.Smile
