Wink

Just walked passed the new Stonehaven site. It will be absolutely great, the locals are looking forward to the CC taking over.

Already I can see the new reception and facilities block foundations and the old buildings are being demolished next week.

What a location, step across the lane and there is the sea, walk a hundred yards to the 2 swimming pools or a few more steps to the town.

With seaview cafes, shops in the town, the harbour, both indoor and outdoor bowling and the gateway to Royal Deeside it is a little gem.

I think it will be very popular with the motorhomers due to its location in the town.

I'm English but happen to live here and would like other club members to know about it.

Is this the old site that was run by the Local Authority?

I was there about 18 months ago, but the facilities were very poor and I was disappointed to say the least....

Can't wait to revisit this site, one of our favourite sites ever.  Hope that the atmosphere is retained and it doesn't get too much of a "corporate" makeover.  Roll on caravanning season 2013!

Just looked at the site, today, if you are worried that it is going to be like the old rundown site you are wrong. It is all going to be brand new. The developers have bulldozed everything and a new reception and facilities block are in the process of being built. From Febuary the Club Magazine will report progress. I feel sure that it will retain a good atmospher because the builders are experienced at CC site development and the locals want it. Although I will never use the site it will be great to chat with fellow club members.
