alde heating switch
This is just a warning to fellow members we went to whitby last week and did all the usual set up checks and went into whitby while the alde heating got up to temperature. When we returned there was a strong smell of burning in the caravan a lunar clubman SE 2010 model. On investigation the switch under the seat was actually melting and did not fuse. We returned home after the weekend and returned the caravan to our dealer who removed the switch and showed me the state of it on the inside and said it is about three of these that they have had back. To my surprise this surely must warrent a recall we could have returned to find our caravan on fire. The dealer has now wired it direct to eliminate the switch which apparently how the newer models are done.
