How many people have had the experience of arriving at a CL on which you have booked a place only to find on arrival that there is no pitch available.
I booked a pitch on a CL for the August Bank Holiday and discussed with the owner the fact that it would be about 9.00 pm when I could arrive and would this be OK. Thats fine was the reply, just get on your pitch and come to see us in the morning was the reply. Imagine my horror when arriving at the site to find there was no space left for me to pitch. Not a good start. I have since gleemed that it is not uncommon for CL owners to overbook at popular times to ensure a full site if people fail to appear.
Gas anyone else had a similar experience
