Unforgettable stay at Morn Hill, Winchester
About 12 Years ago we arrived at the CC Morn Hill Winchester site. While setting-up my wife fell out of the caravan and twisted here ankle, which at the time we thought may be broke, so off to the hospital we went. Next morning back at the caravan with a badly sprained ankle, resting up we noticed the caravan across the way had 2 small white fluffy dogs in a Penn, so my daughter went over to see them and the woman came out of the van and chased her away saying they were not pets, they are show dogs and don’t touch them. No need for that but fair enough if that’s the way she wants to be, so be it.
Shortly after, the couple left with the dogs in their motor vehicle returning later, the woman with a face like thunder giving her husband grief all the way into the caravan, we even saw her hitting him with a towel, much to our amusement.
The sun was starting to set and my wife and daughter went to the showers on the lower level on site, after a short time the site was filled with flashing blue lights and headed down to lower level, to which I thought my wife had fallen again so went rushing down there only to meet her on way back to caravan and noticed the police car had turned around and headed on to our level, then an ambulance arrived and were at the unhappy couples caravan.
Next thing the police were going around the caravans asking the occupants questions about the couple with the dogs, what they had seen if anything, then we spoke to the warden, who told us, the man and woman were arguing because she was not happy at the dogs only getting second place in a show, and she stabbed her husband, but when the police arrived and questioned the husband while he was being treated for stab wounds, he said it was an accident, and he had fell onto the knife (possible) but he had 2 stab wounds, but he insisted he fell on to the knife TWICE!!
Next morning we woke to find the husband out of hospital and packing up the caravan, clearly in agony, while his wife watched and barked out orders, the wardens offered to help but she seen them off too.
The rest of our stay was pretty boring after that.
