January 2012 Caravan Club magazine include a report on the towing ability of the Touareg V6 3litre bluemotion 2011 model. This report failed to mention that towbars MUST be factory fitted for this model. The towbar manufacturers are unable to solve a huge problem with the electrics, therefore once the car has been purchased it is unable to have a towbar fitted. This we have only found out to our dismay. We have had allthis confirmed by VW.
