Outstanding Wardens

My wife and I have just returned from a trip to the New England Bay Caravan Club Site on the Bay of Luce, about 2.5 miles out from the Site, my motorhome broke down, the battery was drained and had not been charging, yep, alternator failure.  Unfortunately we had come to a stop at a track entrance to some local properties and had now mobile signal, no O2 coverage.

My wife took out two dogs and walked to the site to seek help, arriving dehydrated and tired, she and the dogs were looked after by the wardens, they were all rehydrated and once she was recovered, the Warden then asked what the problem was, when she explained, the warden the came to find me, using his own mobile, (Vodaphone) he then called my breakdown service and helped to organise a garage from Newton Stewart to come to my assistance.

The garage was able to place a small charge into my battery, sufficient to get me to the site, where he again recharged the battery to enable me to find a plot.  The warden came round to ensure we had managed  to get settled on a plot.

For me, this was outstanding service from the Warden, who in my opinion, should be awarded some form of commendation for his assistance.  He went above and beyond his normal duties to ensure we were safe and able to get to the site.

Well done New England Bay, you have made a friend this weekend.
