site to be avoided
having just returned from a three week holiday in france which for the most part we really enjoyed. we were very surprised to receive a call from the club to tell us that the site we were booked into at Suevres La Grenouillere from 27/06/16 for three nights was having some work carried out and that the way in had changed. We returned the call to check if it was noisy and were advised that the person who had reported the work had not mentioned any thing. when we arrived we found it difficult to negotiate the turning into the camping area as we have a large van. we chose our pitch and set up. the site was a little untidy due to all the work they were doing putting static mobile homes in. we got up the next morning only to discover there was no water. the work mem said it would be off fo 10 mins but when i returned 20 mins later it was still not on i went to reception to be told the it would not be back on for at least an hour which would have made it after lunch. the next morning we got up and again no water although this time it did not last long. although the staff and bar area were everything you would want the rest of the site left a lot to be desired and i would recommend that if any one is planning to stay there over the next couple of weeks they check before hand that the work has been completed especially if they are planning to take children.
