If you are visiting Edinburgh, have a look at Slatebarns Caravan Park (website) at Roslin village (commercial) site which used to be in the CC sites network.

This family owned/family-run site is an absolute gem. Quiet, small (about 35 pitches), wonderful toilet facilities (better than any CC site we have ever visited - more than half of the network), bus service every 20 minutes to Edinburgh - only £1.60 for non-Scots!

It is also just two minutes from the Roslyn Chapel which readers of "The Da Vinci Code" will recognise but which is well worth a visit on it's own merit.

We've just had a week there, going into Edinburgh several times - change buses, go to Edinburgh Botanic Gardens/ Royal Britannia/etc - no driving! Excellent!
