We were due to leave the Littlehampton Caravan Club Site after an enjoyable 21 night stay there. It was our day of departure and we had just hitched the car and caravan up, checked the electrics, lights etc. and started to pull away from our pitch when suddenly the towbar came off the towball, the red cable snapped after applying the caravan brake and the electric cable broke.

We telephoned Mayday and were told that it could take up to an hour. Mayday rescue services were there within half an hour. We got a phone call from work asking us to come in to do an extra shift whilst this was going on. The rescue service agreed that we coukd leave them to fix it. They liased with the warden to complete the work. The warden then very kindly advised me to phone the Brighton site to let them know we wouldn't be there until the next day. So our booking was kept open and we were allowed to stay an extra night at Littlehampton because of the special arragement agreed by the warden.

Thank you Mayday and the warden for all your help and such a wonderful service.

The next day after leaving Littlehampton on our way to Brighton, we got a puncture in one of the offside caravan tyres. Once again we had to phone Mayday and the rescue service was there within half an hour. They changed the wheel and we were soon on our way to the Brighton Caravan Club site.

Once again, excellent breakdown service from Mayday.
