Here she is - the new girl in our life!

Lady is a 5 year old, has been used for showing and, we believe, bred from. She came over from N Ireland on the ferry on Friday night - must have been a horrendous journey. When we went to collect her she's was still very stressed and didn't want anything to do with us. But amazingly, within hours of reaching her new home she'd made herself well and truly at home. Harry's had his nose put out of joint a bit - she's bagged all the most comfortable spots in the house! On her first night with us we were a bit concerned because there were a number of bonfire parties going on, but she went to bed quite willingly and slept all through the night. She's still feling her feet a bit and not eating much yet but hour by hour we can see her confidence growing. We're very lucky to have her and she's going to have such a good life now! Happy. What an absolutely beautiful dog moulesy.  She looks a real cutie.  Fancy having to endure a ferry crossing from N.Ireland.  We have done that a number of times and it is not pleasant. Bless her. I hope she and Harry become good friends.  I am sure she will
have a wonderful life with you all.

If you look closely at the first picture you can just make out a bald spot at the top of  her leg. She as one on each side - from laying on concrete where she's been kennelled apparently. So she's making the best of a nice soft bed for a change!

What a beautiful lady.  Sounds like she's settling in already.  I'm sure Harry will accept her if you give him enough attention, and I'm sure you'll do that with bells on!  He'll be pleased, as most males generally are, that he has allowed her into his life.

She's beautiful and lovely to hear she has a new happy home. A few weeks ago I adopted Honey, a lovely little cat who has spent the first 4 years of her life living as a stray. Chewie, our much spoilt resident cat who has lived with us since he was a kitten (now 8 years old) was a bit miffed at first but they've slowly become really good friends and have us laughing at the games they play together. I'm sure Harry will soon love and appreciate his new friend too. Smile

Up date on Lady - she's settled in really well; she's so quiet and well behaved we don't know she's in the house half the time - she just curls up in her bed and lets us get on with things. Occasionally she'll clamber out and try to get Harry to play with
her but he really doesn't want to know!

She's still sleeping in her crate at the moment and goes in quite willingly at night. We thought we'd leave the door open for a couple of nights so she could go in with Harry if she wanted to - the first morning we came down to find half the stuffing pulled
out of his bed and the second morning we came down to find half the filling pulled ut of her bed!!!

So it's back to the crate for the time being!
