First trip abroad!

To all those people who advised me to bite the bullet and let my hubby take me abroad, thank you, thank you, thank you!!  We had a fabulous 12 night trip to Holland (via the Hull ferry) and I couldn't believe how courteous the Dutch were on the roads: not one aggressive gesture all the time we were there!  The Dutch people are simply lovely (well, all the ones we met were) including the very kind young lady in Delft who brought an ice pack for my hubby when he had a nasty fall off his bike (that's another story!).  our first site was Arenshorst (just under 3 hours from Rotterdam) in the country where our pitch was right next to the river Vecht.  Gorgeous!  By complete contrast our second site was Delft which was in a great position just a 20 min stroll from the centre although we did quite a shock at just how close (and small) the pitches are!  No wonder a lot of foreign caravans have blanked out front windows!!  Now planning a more ambitious trip for next year!  So, once again thanks to all who encouraged me to "just do it"!!
