I am one of the many people having problems with the Snooper 5750 sat’ nav’ and I do not like to see a Caravan Club endorsement associated with such a shoddy product.
I have the exactly the same problem as most people, my unit locks up after a long period of operation and will not restart until the unit it has cooled down and recharged. It is still within warranty and has been serviced by Snooper customer services (Performance products) who updated the software and replaced the charger. The software has been updated again through a computer download and still the unit fails and will not log onto a satellite unless it is fully charged and then again it locks up usually after a lengthy period of use.
From new it has always run hot and I believe that the S5750 is power hungry and the charger cannot maintain the battery in full charge when in use, but I am no expert. The unit is certainly not fit for purpose. I am certainly disappointed with my purchase, it was an expensive unit and has not given me the service I was expecting.
