I noticed in another thread you had tried and failed to book at the Edinburgh CC site in Auguist and had booked elsewhere having to pay a non-refundable deposit.

If you need to book in Edinburgh again, and find the main CC site fully booked, can I suggest you try Linwater Campsite? It's just west of Edinburgh but only a few minutes drive to the Park and Ride at Hermiston. A fabulous wee site, with an absolute gem
of an owner, Jean who can never do enough for you,

Alternatively, there is another site at Morton Hall which I think may be CC affiliated and is in the south of the city. Not stayed there personally but friends have and they say it's a lovely site with good bus links.
