Drinking Water

Hello

New to having a tourer. We bought bottled water for drinking and using for the kettle. It is recommended not to use the water for drinking....stated in the manual. 

Know boiling will kill bugs but still not sure if it's safe to drink

Do not want to risk getting tummy bugs, whats the advice from those who are in the know!!
