Peter Summerill

The Caravan Club Concert Band regrets to announce the passing of Peter Summerill. Peter was a loyal member of the Band and its committee. Peter joined the Band in 2003 as an oboist and took
part in all its major concerts and events including two FICC rallies, one in Bologna and the other in Mill Street Ireland.
As well as being a valued player Peter will be fondly remembered for his culinary skills providing Band breakfasts
and tasty suppers at the holiday rallies. His sense of humour permeated the Band and at themed events he could be relied upon to step into character roles amusing those around him. Many will remember him as the policeman in ‘Allo Allo’ and also as the office
girl ‘Gloria’ in a light hearted sketch performed at the 2011 National.

Much of Peter’s professional life was spent working with the young and vulnerable where he
 constantly gave
of himself to support others. He will be greatly missed by the Band and even more so by his wife, Christine
and his children Jon and Lorna with whom our thoughts are at this time.
