CL's in Scotland

We're planning to tour Scotland this Spring/Summer rather than go abroad as usual - any suggestions for CL's in great locations with facilities nearby, good walking and public transport available? We have a motorhome but prefer to park up and use our feet,
cycles or buses to take the strain and to explore the area around our van.  We' toured there in the autumn of 2010 - hope the weather is better this year than last year!
