Parking your car away from your caravan?

I have returned from a trip to the Netherlands, and it seems quite common that you park your car in a car park after you have sited your van.

The site I was on gave me a token for a barrier when I arrived to I could open it to drive to my pitch.  After setting up and unloading I moved my car to a car park that was located centrally to the site.

When it was time to leave, I asked reception for anothe rtoken to take teh car in, load up and hitch up.

This appeared to give a safer environment to children, and no cars racing about the pitching area.

Even cars coming in to site or remove their outfits were driving dead slow as they new any pedistrians would not expect a car to be in the area.

I was a bit concerned about not having my car next to my caravan to start with, but soon got used to it, and I am thinking it might actually be a good idea for site safety.

Has anyone else cone across this?

What are other peoples thoughts on the idea?

Is it something the club should consider for a new site?
