Hi all,

Dont quote me direct as i dont work for Haynes and i have read various comments on here (al good info) about Movers and Batteries.

I had a mover problem after Easter this year, Its only 2 years old and the Battery as well, and it would not operate when it met any resistance at all (slope etc) I rang Trumo who wanted to know what the all the tech stuff we dont know like "what are the
cold cranking amps on the battery" Doh !!  no idea !!

So rang my mobile service guy who said " you need to charge your battery for 24 hours giving it a good recharge that they need every 2 years to give the amps in the battery a boost as the trickle charge just tops them up but not enough to keep the battery
properly maintained, as low as about 60%

So off to Halfords (no i dont work for them either) and bought a good charger, removed the caps, topped the levels, fitted it up and after few seconds after plugging it in , it said is was fully charged !! but i left it for 24 hours as advised, then tried
it on the van moving it up a small slope and it worked fine !! Guess that must be the same with most batteries but I aint no expert. Oh and please check the battery instructions on re-charging !

Thanks Chris
