I know I'm going to get a rap over the knuckles for posting this, but it is a legitimate question and frankly, now that OH is out of danger and out of hospital until he goes for his op for dialysis, couldn't care less, and life's too short, but do you think
we will need visas to visit any parts of Europe now that we're out?

The UK is not out yet and even when the time comes it is up to the negotiators to draw up the terms of what will be required or not in the way of visas. It is highly unlikely that they will be required for the odd holiday trip just as they aren't for a great
many other countries that don't belong to the EU either.

It's a bit like the health insurance card, we'll no doubt have to be in the EEA now (European Economic Area) so that we still have the same access.

Back in the dark ages (60s-70s) we never needed visas, why would we need them now? (in the future)

Before the EU Britian had reciprocal agreements with a number of countries on Health, Visa'a and other border controls. When in the Forces in the 60's we used to travel with only an ID card and no other documentation, in fact most of the time when they saw
the car registration plate (BFG) they just waved us through.  As Mr Jones said... don't panicHappy

By the time we get Brexit sorted other countries will have left. It will be a new situation in Europe in 2 years time.
