We have just had 5 nights on a superb CL, Cherry Tree Farm, Little Urswick, Ulverston, Cumbria. The farmer has fenced off a section of a field and the grass is kept nice and short. There are several water points close to the pitches but the real bonus is that EHUs are optional. Pay  £10 for a hook up or £5 without. We used a 120 watt solar panel and ran a tv on 12 volt and a Sky HD box with a mains inverter for up to 3 hours each evening. The 110amp battery was easily recharged each day. I saved £25 on site fees and spent about £5 on refillable gas. With the growth in solar panels I think the owner is to be applauded for offering a choice of fees.
