In 2013 I bought a new Coachman VIP 565/4. Did I get the Friday Afternoon one? On getting the van home the alarm failed and needed replacement parts staight away. When cleaning the mirrors the chrome screw covers break as you wipe them clean. I've had a
temperamental wardrobe catch, sometimes it works. The really bad issue I've had is the omni-vent extractor fan, the motor mounting for this has broken into several pieces, when the van went for service this was highlighted to the main dealer, on getting the
van back the fan still jammed against its chassis, when I took it apart the dealer had tried to pack the fan out with washers, not really the way to do it. The dealer has now gone back to Coachman with regards to this and they took 2 weeks to decide it is not
covered under warranty. I have since ordered the part needed for a mere £35 and will carry out the repair properly. Why do Coachman sell expensive caravans with sub-standard parts? Why spoil a good product with cheap parts? What are we paying the extra money
for?
