Rude CL owner
We decided at the last moment to book a CL on the River Avon for the weekend. The owner had vacancies so off went.
We had a bit of difficulty finding it as no sign on the entrance, but luckily the satnav had the reference. On arrival an elderly gentleman came up to us and ask us to pull into a field as a cement mixed vehicle was off loading. This gentleman was another
caravanner.
We waited for about 20 minutes and my wife then went up to the actual owner who was busy levelling the cement. She asked him where we could pitch and was told to go away and come back later as he was busy.
Surely a better answer would have been to advise us to find a pitch somewhere. There is a caravan site and the CL adjoins it and no issue with us accessing either.
Needless to say this upset my wife who felt that the owner was very rude to her. We then phoned another CL, got a booking turned around and left for the other CL where the owner is very friendly.
I am very tempted to write a review as other reviews show the owner in a very favourable light.
