Kampa Air awning questions

As we cannot find any contact details for Kampa hopefully someone on here can advise.

We have the 2015 Air Ace awning and on either side there is a long black strap that seems to serve no purpose.

Secondly on the front there are large loops at the bottom of the awning and we cannot find out their purpose.

Any ideas please?
