Corelle and cultery

We bought some Corelle dinnerware and are now looking for suitable cultery.  The cultery we have was supposed to be good brand from "Judge", but after a year the knives are pitted.  This Judge cultery was not cheapo and we are very disappointed in it.

As I have arthritis in my hands I need knives and forks that offer a good grip and are not flat.  We also do not want knives that are going to start pitting within a year or two.

We only require a set for four people and would like them to be durable, comfortable to hold and a decent quality.   Any suggestions please?  Thanks.
