Tow car matching

This facility seems to be only available to members and many people buy their units prior to becoming members only to find out later that they have an incompatible match.

I am aware that there is a website called whattowcar but it is based on European versions of the towing vehicle and can be quite inaccurate in a number of circumstances.  It told us that the Vx Antara was a suitable vehicle for towing our caravan as it had the incorrect MTPLM for the caravan.

Do you think that all and sundry should be able to use the tow car matching service on the CC website without having to be members first?  This may encourage people to join an organisation which appears to have their welfare and safety at heart.
