A while back I raised this issue and decided we would like to visit the Southland CC site between 7 - 14 April 2013.
Site is reasonably priced so decided to check Online ferry bookings. Wightlink want nearly £270 return because the shipping length of our caravan is 7.9m.
Red Funnel for the same trip is £180! If we choose another site the fare is lower but you can only stay for 5 nights to qualify. Unfortunately it seems that with the sites on offer you are restricted to 2 dogs.
As it is a considereable distance we are travelling and taking into account cost of fuel to stay for 5 nights seems a bit iffy.
I guess we will have to cross Isle of Wight off our list of places to visit!
