may day breakdown

hi all i have mayday breakdown top cover,,on friday morning my car broke down but i was able to get it to the dealers where they where unable to fix the car,i phoned mayday to see if i was able to claim a hire car so that i was able to still go away for
the weekend. I ended up talking to different call centres to see if i could,one said no one said yes then another said no so i ended up not going away.i have check the wording on the caravan club sitr that says a hire car will be provided as an alternative
to recovery,then reading the t&c of mayday it says a hire car will be provide for 48 hours and upto £100 hire costs for a 1.6 car so who is right can anyone give me some advice.....thanks
