Treen Farm, Porthcurno
Anyone stayed at this small commercial site? If so, what is access like for a mid size (6.6m) motorhome?
We would like to catch a production at the Minack next summer and the site looks to be in walking distance.

Haven't stayed, but know the lanes and area very well. Some of the roads are very narrow, and there are one or two quite steep gradients. A lot will depend on your motor and your confidence to be honest, timed ok, you might meet little traffic, but it can
get very busy on theatre nights. Cornish lanes are unforgiving granite, and a lot of folks who drive them are poor at reversing! It is quite a remote location for doing other things as well. Very beautiful area though. If you plan on parking up and not moving
MH again, then go for it, but public transport is restricted, the coast path is challenging in places. Even in Summer, the Minack can be a very cold evening out, and usual advice is to take rugs, and a cushion is a must, the seats are rock! So walking from
site you will need to carry things for warmth and waterproof! Lots of folks do the theatre by taxi. Brilliant night out though, dolphins, basking sharks and seals vie with the theatre production for attention!

The Google map satellite view shows a few MHs/cvans on site but mainly tents. Clearly access is possible and the farm vehicles will get around OK. Whether the access is such that you'd want to drive in and out every day is a different matter.
Why not give the owners a ring and ask about walking to the Minack?
I see the site is very handy for the naturist beach.

Tried calling, but didn't get an answer.
Not sure that the naturist beach is much of an attraction, although it might afford good views of a supermoon! We did a coast walk in France this summer, which involved traversing a naturism tolerated beach. Luckily the breeze made my eyes water, so my distance vision was impaired.

It is a very beautiful area for walking, lots of interesting coves and landmarks. Sure you will get there in MH if you avoid theatre hours. Churches are lovely as well. Porthcurno Beach and Pendvounder are stunning. Looking down into cove from the Minack
is amazing. Gardens at Minack are lovely as well.0 -
See here on ukcampsite reveiws. Doesn't look as though you can book, I remember friends staying there with a tent, relaxed atmosphere would be the best description. There is a car park
for the Minack if you are staying further away.0 -
The best route to get to Portcurno with a motorhome is via the A30 almost to Lands End and then take the B3315 back to Porthcurno and you can park in the Portcurno beach car park. This avoides Treen hill and the worst of the narrow roads and bends. There is a car park at the Minack but there will be less space there. Doing that will widen your choice of sites, you could even stay at the Club site Trevedra Farm which would give better shorter access for Porthcurno and the Minack than say staying at a site in or near St Buryan.
If you stay at Treen Farm, you can walk along the cliff tops from Treen to Porthcurno beach car park and the Minack, it is a well trodden path

Stevesie - probably stating the obvious, but have you had a look at next year's programme of events yet? I get all the details by email and they arrived just at the start of the week. Some very interesting productions next year. It's always a good time at
The Minack (as long as the weather holds, because it's got to be very extreme before they'll cancel!) We spent a magical evening a couple years back listening to Fishermen's Friends and watching the gannets diving in the background.

We saw Dangerous Liasons, plus basking shark, seals and dolphins! Unforgettable for the ants though as well, the whole audience was wriggling at one point! And despite being red hot in day, it was a freezing cold June evening!
