2007 Volvo V50 2.0L diesel as towcar?

My son's looking for a tow car for his first caravan, an Abbey Vogue GTS at 1200kg.

He can't fit a towbar to his 3.2 litre Audi TT and his Suzuki Swift's too light.

He fancies the 2.0L V50 diesel and there's a 2007 manual at a local dealer's that we want to look at.
