I
I normally just add the magazine to the recycling pile as soon as it arrives as I prefer to selectively read the on-line version. However this month I, in the interests of comparison, had a browse through the paper version.
What did I find.. Pages and pages and pages of advertising. with virtually nothing of any interest in between. Yes I know that the on- line version also has wall to wall adverts , but somehow they are not so in your face and can, to a degree,
be avoided. As soon as the CC offer a discount on the annual fees for those not wanting to receive the paper magazine I will stop them sending it out. Meantime I will resume the time honoured practice of dumping the CC advertising catalogue, otherwise
known as the monthly mag, straight into the recycle bin.K
The adverts help pay for the magazine but I do agree that the online versions makes them less noticeable.
I do not think the magazine will be available on line only for the time being as I think the circulation figures which attract the advertisers is based on the printed version.
