Just out of interest .... my folks' 2010 Lunar was a dealer special edition and one of the included extras was "heavy duty corner steadies".  Never yet been able to work out what the point is.  Any ideas anyone?

Hi, has anybody anybody got any information of how I can obtain/purchase wooden blocks for under the steadies on my caravan.

I am specifically interested in obtaining some that I have seen attached to other caravan steadies. The wooden block appears to have a light weight metal plate attached to it, to which the caravan steady is attached. I am not sure if these are commercially manufactured or home made.  Anybody got any information, please.

Corners steadies on a MH do the same as they do on a caravan....they keep the body of the vehicle steady!

If blocks are attached to the steadies during transit, as they are on most caravans, the noise of them flapping in the wind will persuade you to remove them very quickly!

I use two loose pieces of plywink

Marine ply extends the life too.

Buy a length of Decking Board  and cut it in to squares  i..e. pieces as long as its wide. give it a coat of fence treatment and you have as many or as little perfect stacking blocks/steady pads  to place under the steadies when pitching. a lot cheaper than the ones you can buy and sturdier. I carry 16 in an old small wicker basket from a small hamper. It weighs very little as well smile

We made our own wooden blocks with cords attached for easy removal. I've never, ever, seen them for sale.

You've possibly seen steadies with plates fitted resting on top of wooden blocks. That's what we did.

Time to get your saw out.
