Hi,

Not sure about others but we have just returned from Gwithian in Cornwall, just up from St Ives. Just North of the club site. We stayed at Gwithian camp site in the village. Very, very happy all had agreat time, the site the right side of the road and closest to the steps not washed away. This in our new van Alice as Dora was sold to a good home :) The club site 12months ago had poor reviews, and seems the facilites need a make over?

I have just booked two sites for next year already, again non club, fishing about seems many sites happy to take bookings against a one night deposit.

Means we can pick and choose, fix our dates which suits work, work mates and school holidays, well in advance and beat the rush.

So it seems I am using the club sites less and less, may be this is an experiance thing as we feel more confident, but I must say some of these private sites do seem rather good value for money. Plus non of this early December bun fight stuff when the 2015 bookings open. The club brings a whole host of benefits so cannot judge it on this alone.

I am not the only one who goes non club am I?
