Doris and David Roston of The Acorns Caravan Park have been in touch to say that their site is very popular with dog owners because their CL is adjacent to the Whitegate Way in Cheshire. The Whitegate Way was the old salt railway line that carried salt
for almost 100 years, from the River Weaver up to Cuddington where it joined the Chester to Manchester main line. It finally closed in 1966 and today you can enjoy a picnic at Whitegate Station, the only station along the way. Walk, ride or cycle along the
Whitegate Way, an ideal traffic-free link from Winsford to Cuddington, near Delamere Forest Park. Shady wooded cuttings contrast with sunny open embankments, offering spectacular views over the Cheshire countryside. For more information and for bookings give
Doris and David a call on 01606 882156 or email them on roston.david@gmail.com thanks Sandie0 -
I'd like to nominate Priestfield Grange Farm, Old Brampton, near Chesterfield. It has open fields, with footpaths that lead down to the 3 Linacre Reservoirs. Just great for taking ones dogs for a walk all off road.

Our CL, located in the Chiltern Hills has road-free dog-walking right from the site. We have mapped 10-20 and 30 minute walks around the paths and fields of our 200 acre farm, and for those who are more adventurous we have 2 mapped circular walks that are
(95%) road-free of 2 hours and three hours both taking in a 'walkers cafe' or dog-friendly local pubs. We love to see dog-owners who are keen to walk. If you want to walk further we have extensive knowledge of the local footpaths and bridleways and can advise
many routes. The only limit is your fitness! See
Cholsey Gange CL and book online today.0 -
A CL I visited is Swan Farm High Hawsker near Whitby has the coastal path running alongside.

We stayed at Swan Farm last March and had a lovely time. Meg (Cockapoo) had an absolute whale of a time bounding up and down the cinder track (old railway line) in a morning - and then playing with Emma's dog, Rusty, in the field. Lovely to see the new-born
lambs in the sheds every morning.0 -
Swan Farm isn't available at the moment, ground is waterlogged! Good location though, we will be going once things are back to normal! We have had a bit of rain in Yorkshire this Winter!
