Electrolux fridge element repacement?

Hi

Not sure if anyone has experienced this but i thought its got to be worth a try as im stuck.

I have a electrolux rm2260 3 way fridge and im trying to change the 240v element but it seems to be stuck with rust as my sink tap had been leaking in to the lagging which has caused alot of rusting around the element im just wondering if anyone had any
ideas on how to release it?

Any Ideas would be great as i really am stuck.
