Excellent service from Whale
Our Bailey Orion 400-2 (2011) has a Whale Blown Air Heating System. During our last outing earlier this month we noticed it was not not providing heat on the '500' setting. Over the next two days the '1000' setting failed. We could only get heat on the '2000'
electric setting or gas. We tried the 'lock-out' reset procedure without success. Back home we found that the '2000' electric setting had now failed. Advised by local caravan service centre to contact Whale, as it is a 'sealed unit' and all they could do was
book the caravan in for inspection and then contact Whale for advice. The heater is still under warranty until July 2014 so I contacted Whale Technical Support by e mail. Received a reply within the hour apologising for the fault and requesting exact Model
# and Serial #. Shortly after we received an e mail stating that the unit would be replaced with an 'upgraded Mk2 version' and we would be contacted by telephone to arrange fitting at our home address. Unfortunately, we are away on the first dates offered
so we've yet to arrange a mutually convenient date. Excellent response by Whale! Anyone had similar problems with this type of heater?
