Mersey Tunnel to Blackpool

My husband and I are planning a trip next April to The Wirral and then on to Blackpool. Please could anyone advise us (if they have already done this route) as to how easy it would be to go under the Mersey Tunnel towing the caravan and if it would be easy
to find our route to Blackpool once we are at the other side?
