VAT Regsitration and Competence

I have now been informed by my warranty company that because my Caravan Service Engineer (who is fully accredited; he is part of the Approved Workshop Scheme and has been assessed to the MCEA Quality Standard), is not VAT registered.  His servicing is no
longer considered valid!  [Ignoring the fact that he has identified a list of electrical issues as long as your arm on a caravan that hasn't turned a wheel in 12 months!)

This has changed in the last 12 months as when we checked with our Warranty Company that he was acceptable to service the caravan last year, this question wasn't asked!

So not being VAT Registered means that you are not competent to service caravans.

Your thoughts please!

Cheers
