What happens when you take your van in to part ex?

i should be picking my new van up on Friday but two people at work have got me a bit worried saying that when they've taken vans in to be part exd The dealer has gone over their van with a damp meter and found loads of unknown damp and then insisted on a
higher price been paid.

its a 15yo van im part exing and while I don't know of any damp there may be some in a van that age.  I bought it 12 months ago and went over it with a meter and hardly found any.

someone else said when she took her old van in they never actually looked inside it!
