Fresnel lenses

I have just bought a motorhome and am a lttle concerned over the lack of view immediately behind. Has anybody had any experience with fresnel lenses? Are they effective? Would you recommend a particular make? Or should I just go with rear sensors?

Advice would be much appreciated.
