Jorvik Festival

It is a few years since I last attended this festival week in York. At the end of the week, on the Saturday afternoon, there used to be a mock battle on Castle Green. This was followed in the evening by a Viking chief's funeral on the river and firework display all for free. Can anyone tell me if this still takes place because it now seems to be a ticketed affair?
