Tyre pressures

I have recently taken delivery of a new motorhome which has the Fiat Ducato cab and chassis.  On handover the dealer recommended tyre pressures 0.5 bar beow those shown on the Fiat sticker on the wheel arch. The handover man said it would improve the ride.
Any suggestions as to who is right?
