Water leaking into engine bay
I bought an old van earlier this year and am pleased with it so far but...1995 Peugeot Boxer (320m) Rain water runs off my hi top, into the gutter then down the corners of the windscreen. On the driver's side this runs from the plastic tray and then down the bodywork where the engine bay meets the wing panel. Water appears to be slipping through a couple of bolt areas; one near the top of the engine and another 2/3 down where the wing panel is attached. Water also seems to seep through the seam between the panels.
Even when waterproof, it seems a bit daft having rain water running towards the headlights!
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Have you put in any alterntive water diversion/drain from the plastic tray (which surrounds the windscreen wipers)? Is there any way I can easily repair/waterproof this area (brush on sealing products)?
water drips onto the battery and surrounding areas. It sits in the battery tray. A real rust problem. I only noticed this because I was wondering why the battery was discharging quickly then realised it was on rainy days!
I can take a photo if this helps but am not sure if I can post on this forum or PM anyone??
