two way battery charging

hi

my leisure battery gets charged via the "car" battery via the alternator. However, the car battery doesn't get charged if the van is on EHU when the leisure battery is fully charged. I understand that on newer vehicles it is possible to do this so that both
batteries can be charged. Could you please advise what I need to do to achieve this? Parts, costs? cheers.
