Did anyone else see the programmes on BBC4 last night - the making of Tubular Bells followed by a film of the live performance in 1974 - Brilliant and it inspired me to go up to the loft to dig out my original LP of the piece. Listening to it again, you can even forgive Mike Oldfield for setting Richard Branson on course for fame and fortune.

Say what you like about the BBC (OK - maybe not you, Joe Soap ) Friday nights on BBC 4 is certainly the place to wach if you like music from that era.
