White House Beach, Kessingland

We are off to White House Beach for the Jubilee weekend, has anyone been there? If so what was it like, are any shops nearby or do we need to tow our car there? And are there any events organised for the Jubilee weekend, as I have noticed that on the information
page for the site a couple of roads will be shut on the evening 4th June 2012. Many thanks for help in advance
