A new product discovered at the National!
Hi folks. Well, I day tripped to Cheshire today, driving up the M6 for 2 hours and reluctantly paid the RIP off price of £11 to just get into the place! Anyway, the less said about that the better. It is covered in the Rallies section. I attend shows and enjoy doing so as I am always expectant of the new idea or new product and I wasn't disappointed
A dream come true was what I found. I don't know whether you, like me, find levelling the van a pain but its not my favourite occupation to say the least. Today I discovered a new product on the market called the "Lock and Level" made by a small concern (for caravanners by caravanners ) from South Beds. Basically, it's a flat tube made of exceptionally tough material that can be laid under the low side of the van, the van reversed on to it and, after fitting the alko lock or if you don't have one, application of the hand brake, it is simply attached to a 12v tyre inflator and pumped up, raising the van to the correct height . It will raise a van over 4" and can be used, if needed in partnership with a plank if that's not enough but I feel, at most sites, it would be. Simple and stress free and at the end of your break, just open the valve and allow the van to gently settle to the ground again. I am now the owner of one. Levelling will be a breeze from now on and from what I saw, others thought so too. Tandem axles will find it a life changer I'm sure. Check it out! www.delter-culson.co.uk
