St Davids Head from the Midlands
Hi all, I wonder if I might pull on the experience of others regarding a trip to welsh Wales. This, amazingly, is our first foray into Wales!! We intend to visit St David's Head in June this year and we are travelling from the Midlands. So, we will be coming down the M5. Now, looking at my maps, I can either come off at junction 8 on to the M50 down to Ross on Wye and pick up the A40 which will take us all the way to Haverfordwest and then on from there. This route will miss the toll on the Severn bridge. The other way is to carry on down the M5 to J15 and across the severn following the M4 to its terminous and picking up the A48 to Carmarthen and again onto the A40. Has anyone any suggestions which is the best route? Is it best to pay the toll and have M'way to use or is the alternative route along the 50 and then A40 perfectly doable Many thanks for any advice or help. We will be stopping around the Severn for one night and both routes have a non EHU available.
