honda crv or vw tiguan

Changing car to either honda crv manual (reports say autos poor for towing)

Or VW tiguan manual or auto

Both around 2012 models

Could someone also tell me if the vw can have cruise control retro fitted as it is an optional extra 

Know the honda comes with more toys but all i am after is a good reliable car 

Both cars would be the diesel 4wheel drive models
